experimenta | Thekla Gaiti

The company EXPERIMENTA Art Co. AMKE was founded in November 2022 and aspires to become a platform for artistic education and promotion, both for emerging artists and for those who have already had a significant theatrical career but lack a framework to realize their artistic work. To date, it has made a noteworthy journey in the fields of theater and performance, as well as in artistic educational activities.

Members of Experimenta

Educational Activities:

They take place in Athens and are coordinated by Thekla Gaiti with guest teachers from Greece and abroad. They include contemporary and innovative artistic educational programs in the fields of theater, performance, music, and dance, as well as therapeutic system programs (indicatively: Angeliki Stellatou, Iris Fousteri, Thekla Gaiti, Timos Zechas, Emmanuela Korki, Marina Mavrogeni, Despina Chatzipavlidou, Konstantinos Famis, Zoi Kollatou, etc.).

Theatrical Journey

It concerns the production of performances by founding member Konstantinos Dellas (“The Old Women Who Gather Nettles” and “Giak”) both in Athens and in the provinces (Larissa, Volos, Ioannina, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Paros, Naxos, Komotini, Ptolemaida) and its collaboration with significant theatrical organizations and institutions (Municipal and Regional Theatre of Kavala, Municipal and Regional Theatre of Larissa, Stathmos Theatre, Scene 125 Theatre, Amalia Theatre).

Additionally, Experimenta has undertaken the organization and production of Thekla Gaiti’s performance titled “Metadramatic” in Athens and abroad, as well as the tour of the clown performance “I am leaving..by Zo” by Marina Mavrogeni in Italy and Turkey.

Finally, Experimenta aims to realize the extensive walking performance REBEARTH, focusing on the climate crisis and the phenomenon of flooding, a work by its founding member Zoi Drakopoulou and the Nomades Artcore (Yiannis Sioutis, Petros Roussos), which is funded by the Ministry of Culture.
